Prop. 13 Update

When the Democrats achieved a supermajority in the state legislature, politicians and the media began to whisper about the possibility of finally reforming Prop 13. Talking about something and making it happen are two very different things.
That’s why our team of organizers sprang into action. In less than two months we’ve knocked on over 10,000 doors in the Bay Area to educate people about the real possibility of making corporations pay their fair share of property taxes.
It’s up to us to remind our representatives that their top priority should be protecting funding for vital services, not protecting tax breaks for corporations. Our campaign is just getting started. We need to keep up the momentum by educating thousands more people about the need to reform Prop 13.
We have a once in a lifetime opportunity to make our state a more equitable place to live.
